Job Summary
Regional Psychiatrist to oversee psychiatric clinical programs across Oregon facilities, provide clinical oversight of nurse practitioners and physician assistants, collaborate with facility leadership and regional physicians to implement best practices, conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, maintain medical records, and participate in multidisciplinary teams. Hybrid role with in-person travel to facilities as needed; responsibilities include developing care plans, supervising clinical relations with facilities, ensuring high-quality psychiatric care for residents in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities, and staying current with best practices and research in psychiatry.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a residency training program in psychiatry
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
- Unrestricted licensure as a physician in the applicable state, including ability to prescribe controlled substances
- Licensed by the applicable State Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances
