Job Summary
Ordnance Inventory System-Retail (OIS-R) Operator serves as a subject matter expert in ordnance inventory management, ensuring regulatory compliance, audit readiness, fiscal accountability, and operational effectiveness across ammunition accountability processes. Responsibilities include managing the OIS-R program and accountable ordnance and handling equipment, maintaining NAVSUP/Navy regulatory compliance, conducting inventory reconciliations and audits, developing records retention programs, coordinating ordnance movements with NAVSUP and fleet units, ensuring CAPs are developed and implemented, performing senior-level operational and cost analyses, delivering performance metrics and leadership briefings, assessing risks and identifying process improvements, and serving as a trainer for fleet sentencing and ammunition procedures. Position requires active Secret clearance and experience with OIS or similar systems, along with proficiency in SharePoint/Excel and strong analytical/communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance
- Five (5) years of experience in ordnance management, ammunition accountability, inventory control, logistics operations, or related military/government programs
- Experience utilizing OIS or similar inventory management systems
- Knowledge of NAVSUP P-724 and Navy ammunition accountability requirements
- Proficiency with SharePoint, Excel, and military logistics systems
- Experience supporting audits, inspections, compliance programs, and corrective action initiatives
