Job Summary

Coordinate handling, storage, and shipment of ammunition, rockets, and explosives at NSW Detachment Bahrain while maintaining 100% accountability through document processing and OIS database oversight. Prepare transportation schedules for hazardous materials adhering to International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, DOT 49 CFR, and U.S. military regulations. Process ammunition issue and receipt documents, manage price and availability accounts for JCET training munitions, and respond to audits regarding ordnance accounting and qualification programs. Advise Weapons department personnel on safety, controls, and forecasting; implement corrective actions for discrepancies and review ammunition allowance change requests. Ensure hazardous waste is properly segregated and disposed of within applicable storage limits. Maintain Joint Munitions Command Price and Availability account in support of submission and requisition of Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) training munitions.

Required Qualifications

  • SECRET clearance
  • U.S. Citizen
  • current and valid U.S. passport
  • minimum of 5 years of direct experience of knowledge, and processes associated with the Navy Ordnance Information System (OIS)
  • minimum of 5 years of direct AA&E experience
  • Thorough understanding of Naval Administration Reclassification of Notices (NARS) current processing and notification procedures
  • Ammunition Transaction Reporting (ATR) system
  • NAVSUP-P 724
  • OP5
  • DPAS programs
  • or equivalent authorized Government property management systems
