Job Summary
Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance, perform deck repairs and modifications, and execute engineering repairs aboard government vessels. Maintain shipboard safety measures including firefighting, basic first aid, and emergency system operations while managing underway watch standing and deck department procedures. Requires US citizenship for Public Trust security clearance, ability to lift 50 pounds, and prolonged standing. Part-time, on-call schedule based at Naval Station Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public trust level
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
- Must have experience in deck operations

- USCG Merchant Mariner's Document for Ordinary Seaman
- TWIC
- Experience in deck operations
- Experience in routine vessel operations
