Job Summary
Support the safe transfer, positioning, and mobilisation of patients throughout the Day Surgery Centre while assisting nursing staff with patient-related activities. Set up and move equipment in preparation for procedures, maintaining a clean, safe, and organised environment. Follow infection prevention and control procedures and use safe manual handling techniques with mechanical aids. Contribute to a positive patient experience through exceptional customer service and teamwork within a multidisciplinary perioperative setting.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working as an Orderly, Patient Support Assistant or within a hospital environment
- Experience in a Theatre or Perioperative setting
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- A commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
- The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Initiative, reliability and a positive attitude
- Physical capability to safely undertake manual handling activities
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts across the operational hours of the Day Surgery Centre
- Australian working rights
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a Theatre or Perioperative setting will be highly regarded
