Job Summary
The Order Selector Supervisor will oversee the daily picking operations within the distribution center, supervise order selector staff, and ensure high picking accuracy and on-time shipments. Responsibilities include managing process controls for picking operations (establishing zones, improving pick rates, order processing, value-added services, safety), conducting performance reviews, addressing inventory discrepancies with root-cause analysis, generating operational reports (work order scheduling, productivity, planning, staffing, throughput, inventory accuracy), communicating across departments, budgeting and labor-cost control, and maintaining accuracy and efficiency in order fulfillment.
Required Qualifications
- Two to four years of experience in a warehouse environment, order fulfillment, leadership, and work order processing.
- Previous supervisory/leadership experience.
- Excellent leadership by example and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with an understanding of performance metrics.
- Oversight of the work order program.
- Experience in velocity reporting and product slotting.
- Ability to communicate both professionally and confidently.
- Ability to create professional memos, letters, e-mails, and reports.
- Must be able to think and make solid business decisions.
- Maintain stable performance and poise in high-stress situations.
- Must be able to identify, troubleshoot, and create solutions to problems.
- Must be able to understand and absorb new information quickly.
- Understand and be willing to create change.
- Requires minimal direction.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and WMS systems. Familiarity with AS400 is a plus.
- Able to work flexible/extended hours, including weekends as required
