Job Summary
Use warehouse communication systems to locate and pull products for retail store orders accurately and safely. Maneuver forklifts and pallet jacks to stack items securely onto pallets, ensuring cases contain correct labels and tags. Shrink wrap completed orders with labels and move them to the loading dock staging area. Report product discrepancies, quality issues, or equipment problems to management immediately. Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by adhering to all company safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED
- Six or more months of related experience
- Prerequisite experience as an order selector trainee
- Food Handler certification
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Ability to operate a forklift/pallet jack
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to comprehend and interpret information
- Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes
- Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage time
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must have visual capability to see up close and far distances
- Must have auditory capability to hear and understand information given whether directly through a headset unit, over the intercom, and/or the ability to hear warning signals/sounds, hazardous sounds, etc.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the BGC attendance policy
- Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible
- Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor
- Required to pass a physical agility test
