Job Summary
Handpick items from pallets for packaging, box products, and prepare cartons for shipping by placing items on conveyors and routing them to proper areas. Palletize packed cartons, weigh packages, enter data, and label items appropriately. Operate mechanical jacks and forklifts to transport product and perform necessary paperwork for specific customers. Unload and count incoming product, execute various material handling duties requiring counterbalanced forklifts or pallet jacks, and deliver merchandise to designated locations in the DC. Operate hand pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF hand-held wands while following all safety rules and maintaining satisfactory performance levels. Work overtime as required and participate in special projects or process improvement teams.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to perform all physical demands of the position including bending, stooping, reaching, walking continuously, and lifting up to 50 lbs., frequently
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, written correspondence, memos, and have the ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to perform basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Certification to operate the mechanical power lift devices such as forklift and/or pallet truck
- Ability to operate personal computer equipment and RF (radio frequency) hand-held wand
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
