Job Summary
Purpose: This position handles moving, weighing, labeling and stretch wrapping of finished product for shipment. Responsibilities include operating packaging support equipment, assisting with loading/mounting manufactured rolls of paper for packaging, accurate data entry into Optimill, following process maps and work instructions, adhering to safety rules including Lock Out/Tag Out, reporting mechanical issues and generating maintenance work orders, operating packing support equipment such as stretch wrappers, cranes, upenders, strapping tools, scales, and lifting equipment, and cross-training to qualify for at least one other position in the manufacturing operation. Required skills include High School education, basic math, English literacy, and at least one year of converting work experience, with capability to mentor junior staff and work with minimal supervision. Required Qualifications
- High school
- Basic Math skills
- Read and write English
- One Year or more Converting Work Experience
- Must be able to mentor and train less experienced converting employees
- Must be physically and mentally able to perform similar job functions in other areas
- Must have knowledge of Information Security policies and be responsible for ensuring information security when handling information and maintaining or using information systems or information networks
- Temporary assignments to alternate workstations may be required to meet production demand
