Order Processing Specialist

Job Summary
Dispatch all inbound orders to Production Specialists via the Live Sheet and ensure orders meet or exceed deadlines. Create purchase orders, sales orders, and manage inventory levels for purchased and received items while maintaining proper invoicing and reconciliations. Work with the Shipping Specialist to track outbound shipments, unloads delivered items, and stocks the shipping department. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts, manage import/export for invoicing, and order internal office supplies. Communicate with associates and vendors via email, Teams, and in-person to schedule shipment plans and fulfill supply requests. Maintain a clean, safe work environment and carry out inventory control policies in a shipping and receiving setting.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong overall computer skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Flexibility to work outside of scheduled shift hours with minimal notice, including weekends
- Knowledge of Shipping and Inventory Control practices
- Strong Time Management Skills
- Ability to multi-task

- Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms; stoop kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to frequently sit for long periods of time
- Ability to hear and talk, both in person and by phone
- Ability to spend extended hours in front of a computer screen
- Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST
- This role is based onsite at Protective's Strongsville, Ohio office
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with or knowledge of shipping and inventory control processes preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to communicate and work with multiple personalities
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to remain strictly confidential regarding information known that is not public information
