Job Summary
Order Picker in the evening shift (8:00pm–3:00am), Alsip, IL. Responsibilities include receiving orders, retrieving goods from the warehouse, stocking pallets, notifying supervisor of misplaced/damaged/expired products, checking packing lists for accuracy, assembling customer orders, placing orders on pallets or shelves, updating the computer ordering system, and using an order-picker truck to pull orders. Ensures the picking process is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently; requires ability to operate materials-handling equipment and work under pressure; schedule runs Sunday through Thursday.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience operating materials handling equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks, standard forklifts, and order-picker forklifts
- Ability to add, subtract, and multiply/divide with 10s and 100s; basic arithmetic
- Ability to perform simple one- or two-step instructions; standard warehouse procedures
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 80 pounds; tolerate noise and varying conditions
