Job Summary
Order Picker and Deliveries role at The Home Depot involves driving a non-CDL box truck (under 26,000 lbs) to complete local customer deliveries and performing 50% customer service while loading/unloading and updating orders via a handheld device. Requires driving on local routes, updating customers and stores with delivery status, loading the truck efficiently, and navigating using GPS. Must be at least 21, have a valid license, clean MVR, pass DOT physical/criminal check/drug screen, and be able to lift up to 70 lbs. High school diploma or GED typically required; minimum travel is overnight less than 5%. Office location in Pomona, CA with in-person work expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid, active Driver's License
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Ability to load and unload heavy items up to 70 lbs.
- Must pass DOT physical, criminal check and drug screen
- Must be familiar with local and surrounding areas
- Ability to read a GPS and follow directions
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
- One (1) year experience driving a box truck and/or flatbed under 26,000 lbs. gross weight or smaller.
