Job Summary
Pull items efficiently and accurately according to customer orders by navigating to shelves, identifying products and quantities, and transporting them to the checking station. Operate heavy equipment including forklifts and order selectors, utilizing voice picking and RF scanning systems while adhering to safety rules and stockroom housekeeping policies. Maintain speed and accuracy in repetitive routine tasks involving hazardous materials handling. Requires forklift certification, basic computer navigation, and ability to read product numbers and line codes. Work 40+ hours starting at $21.35/hr in Woodland, CA, with health, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to write legibly
- Ability to successfully communicate with the voice picking system
- Ability to adapt to understanding the voice system's commands
- Ability to adapt speech so that the voice system can understand input
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers
- Ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
- Functional literacy
- Capability to understand and recognize product numbers and line codes
- Capability to identify sequence of numbers and letters accurately and rapidly
- Basic navigation on the computer
- Use of voice picking and RF scanning equipment
- Adherence to the Stockroom Housekeeping Policy
- Adherence to all safety rules including the handling of hazardous materials
- Heavy equipment (Forklift / Order Selector) experience
- Forklift Certification
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- Ability to move heavy product in excess of 1,000 pounds with moving aids
