Job Summary
Sterile Processing Technician III at STERIS in Concord, NC, supporting surgical procedures by reprocessing surgical trays, ensuring instruments are decontaminated, cleaned, sterilized and prepared for the next case. Operates sterile processing washers and sterilizers, participates in on-site training, and maintains required SPD certifications with annual CE credits. Requires a High School diploma or GED and 2+ years SPD experience with CRCST/CSPDT/CST or CER/CFER/CST certification, plus CIS/CSIS, CHL/CSPM or STERIS Assessment within 12 months. Shift: 3rd, 10:30 PM–7:00 AM, onsite. Pays $22.68–$29.35 hourly, with benefits and equal-opportunity employment stated. Open until filled.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 2+ years of SPD experience with proficiency in all SPD Technician responsibilities
- CRCST/CSPDT, CST or CER/CFER, CST certification is required
- Must obtain CIS/CSIS, CHL/CSPM or STERIS Assessment certification within 12 months of hire
- Must maintain certification by completing 12 Continuing Education Credit Hours annually
- Preferred: Completion of a Sterile Processing or Surgical Technologist program
