Job Summary
Operate orbital welding and related machinery while preparing and aligning components for welds. Conduct visual inspections to ensure quality compliance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code standards. Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform minor equipment adjustments and maintenance. Support experienced welders as needed and follow safety protocols and supervisor instructions. Work independently with moderate supervision to meet production goals while demonstrating commitment to continuous improvement. Candidates must have operator experience in machining or welding equipment and recent welding school graduation.
Required Qualifications
- Operator experience in machining or welding equipment
- Some hands-on welding experience or recent welding school graduate
- Basic understanding of weld quality and inspection standards
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with moderate supervision
- Committed to continuous improvement and skill development
- Must be able to become qualified in accordance with the requirements of Section IX of the ASME Boiler andPressure Vessel Code for Automatic Welding
- Attendance on a regular, consistent basis
