Job Summary
Lead the launch and drive sales of an innovative interventional cardiovascular therapy in Orange County. Develop territory launch strategies to maximize procedural adoption, navigate purchasing processes and value analysis committees, and increase sales by developing new users and driving utilization among high-volume prescribers and interventionalists. Collaborate with peers to share case experiences, participate in therapy awareness programs and territory growth initiatives, and build partnerships with key opinion leaders to convert clinical interest into commercial success. Establish clinical confidence through ongoing education and procedural support; set physician and staff expectations before, during, and after procedures; anticipate challenges and coach physicians through complex situations. Leverage internal programs to accelerate adoption, manage consignment inventory and monitor shelf life, provide market intelligence and forecasting input, negotiate access to new medical technology, deliver training to physicians and administrators, articulate clinical and economic value to stakeholders, guide onboarding, and maintain CRM accuracy. Maintain scheduling, reporting, expenses, and travel logistics aligned with customer account policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science, business, or related field
- 7–10+ years of experience in interventional cardiology or similar device sales within complex hospital environments
- Proven success launching disruptive medical technologies and changing treatment paradigms
- Strong understanding of premium product positioning, demonstrated success selling clinical and economic value
- Experience with diverse hospital stakeholders (interventional cardiologists, cath lab staff, purchasing directors, hospital administrators)
- Comfortable presenting clinical and economic data and interpreting market trends for physicians and executives
- Established relationships with key thought leaders in interventional cardiology
- Mastery of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and interventional procedures
- Comprehensive knowledge of interventional products and competitive landscape
- Proven ability to collaborate across functions and adapt to dynamic business conditions
- Experience delivering clinical training and procedural support for interventional physicians
- Strong organizational, planning, and execution skills
