Job Summary

Lead and mentor a team of surgical assistants by managing daily schedules, allocating tasks, and providing ongoing training to ensure smooth communication and a culture of safety. Prepare patients for oral surgery procedures, maintain a sterile field, and provide necessary instruments and supplies while assisting the oral surgeon during operations. Manage surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring proper sterilization and storage, and provide post-operative care and instructions for a smooth recovery transition. Monitor patients' vital signs, address concerns with professionalism, and maintain an organized inventory while adhering to OSHA, HIPAA, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with office management to optimize surgical scheduling and resource allocation. Requires minimum of 3 years of experience as a surgical assistant in an oral surgery or dental setting.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a surgical assistant in an oral surgery or dental setting
  • Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to manage a clinical team
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Proficiency in surgical procedures, instrument handling, and patient care
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and assist in surgeries
  • Must be able to lift and move equipment or assist patients as needed

Desired Qualifications

  • DAANCE or other relevant certifications
