Job Summary
Greet patients upon arrival, direct them to and from operatory, and ensure X-rays and Cone-Beam CT scans are current and diagnostic. Complete full intakes, review medical histories, and verify pharmacy information. Set up operatories, check stock levels, and ensure clinical areas are cleaned and disinfected after each procedure. Perform clinical tasks such as connecting monitors, assisting with IV removal, and completing pre- and post-operative checklists. Assist providers with procedure coding, create treatment plans, and schedule follow-up appointments. Monitor sedation narrators, manage clinical in-baskets, and respond to live calls. Recognize and respond to basic and advanced dental and medical emergencies. Maintain supply and drug inventory, manage oxygen tanks, and properly discard regulated waste. Sort and package instruments for sterilization, clean ultrasonic units and autoclaves, and maintain current sterilization logs.
Required Qualifications
- High School degree or equivalent
- Current or within 60 days of hire BLS/CPR certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Current or within 60 days of hire X-Ray certification
Desired Qualifications
- Graduates of an accredited American Dental Association program and/or coursework in dental instruments and procedures
- Three years' experience in oral surgery office/dental office
- Customer service experience
