Job Summary
Oral Surgeon sought for part-time or full-time placement at Saxira Oral Surgery with home base Clinton, MD and potential dual-location work across Rockville, MD starting August 2026. Responsibilities include performing complex surgical procedures (wisdom tooth extractions, dental implants, bone grafting, surgical extractions, pathology management, facial trauma), conducting patient consultations, creating treatment plans, administering anesthesia, and maintaining records. Requires DDS/DMD, completion of an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency, MD licensure or eligibility, with preferred board certification and 2-3 years of clinical experience; proficiency in implant placement and IV/general anesthesia; strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills; opportunities for growth across multiple locations.
Required Qualifications
- Active Maryland Dental License or eligibility for licensure
- Completion of an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program (4-6 years)
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school
- Board certification or board eligibility in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience in oral surgery (preferred)
- Proficiency in dental implant placement and surgical extractions
- Experience with IV sedation or general anesthesia
