Job Summary
Brand-new Meridian, ID oral surgery practice seeking a DDS/DMD-trained Oral Surgeon. Part-time to full-time growth opportunity; perform a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures including extractions (impacted third molars), implants and bone grafting, exposure and bonding procedures, IV sedation and general anesthesia cases; evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, obtain informed consent; collaborate with referring dentists to ensure continuity of care; maintain accurate clinical documentation; participate in marketing and relationship-building efforts with referral partners during ramp-up; ensure compliance with clinical, safety, and regulatory standards; license, DEA, and sedation-permit requirements; board certification/eligibility preferred; BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications (or ability to obtain); strong interpersonal and communication skills; willingness to participate in practice growth and referral development.
Required Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
- Completion of an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program
- Active or eligibility for Idaho dental license
- Active DEA registration
- Permit for administration of IV sedation/general anesthesia in Idaho (or ability to obtain)
- Board certification or board eligibility by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery preferred
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain)
- Strong clinical skills with a patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to participate in practice growth and referral development
