Job Summary
Geisinger is seeking BC/BE oral and maxillofacial surgeons to join a full-scope academic OMFS practice at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. The role emphasizes maxillofacial trauma, dentoalveolar and implant surgery with in-office sedation, corrective jaw surgery, cleft palate, TMJ and reconstructive procedures. The position offers teaching opportunities with residents, engagement in research, and dedicated faculty time, along with a competitive straight salary model, CME time/allowance, PTO, and relocation assistance. Candidates will diagnose and plan treatments, manage patient histories and medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary health system. Qualifications include DMD/DDS (or MD) and PA licensure eligibility, with CODA-accredited OMFS training and board certification/eligibility. Required Qualifications
- BC/BE oral and maxillofacial surgeon
- Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) or dual DMD/DDS, MD
- State of Pennsylvania medical/dental license or eligible for licensure
- DMD/DDS certification for PA; MD/DO considered as applicable
- CODA-accredited OMFS training
- ability to teach and participate in research
- in-office sedation capability
- experience or interest in maxillofacial trauma, dentoalveolar and implant surgery, corrective jaw surgery, cleft palate, TMJ and reconstructive surgery
