Job Summary
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries involving multiple table joins while designing indexing strategies to enhance performance. Write dynamic SQL for DML and DDL operations, maintaining database objects like packages, procedures, and functions. Handle large datasets using cursors, loops, and collections, implementing exception handling and error logging mechanisms. Debug and troubleshoot PL/SQL code while collaborating with application teams for database integration. This role requires 4–6 years of experience, immediate to 15-day notice, and on-site work in Chennai.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
- Expertise in complex joins and multi-table query design
- Query optimization and indexing techniques
- Experience with dynamic SQL
- Cursor types: Implicit, Explicit, REF CURSOR, SYS_REFCURSOR
- CASE and DECODE statements
- Packages, stored procedures, loops, and collections
- Exception handling and logging mechanisms
- Strong debugging and performance tuning capabilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Proactive and ownership-driven approach
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Java or backend integration
- Exposure to migration or modernization projects
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
