Job Summary
Oracle/PeopleSoft Database Administrator to install, patch, upgrade Oracle databases across AWS RDS environments, perform SQL tuning and optimization with PeopleSoft metadata and App Server/PIA impacts, ensure availability, integrity, and DR/HA readiness, implement robust backup strategies (RMAN, PITR, cross-region), enforce security and auditing, troubleshoot slow queries and cross-tier bottlenecks, document processes and runbooks, and automate tasks using shell scripting, Python, SQL, Lambda, and Step Functions. Requires US citizenship, DoD Secret clearance, a Bachelor’s degree, Security+ CE, 5+ years Oracle DBA experience, and proficiency with AWS RDS, CloudWatch, SQL/PLSQL, and PeopleSoft tooling.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- DoD Secret Level Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant experience
- Security+ CE Certification, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA
- Strong expertise in performance tuning, capacity planning, and system optimization
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages such as Bash or Python
- Familiarity with AWS RDS, CloudWatch, and PeopleSoft monitoring integrations
- Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, OCI) is a plus
- PeopleSoft-aware DBA experience preferred
