Oracle Database Engineer

Job Summary
Assist in analyzing technical and functional requirements and help translate them into software solutions. Support the design, development, and integration of third-party components, including participating in system testing and installations. Help develop automation scripts to assist with installations, configuration, tuning, and maintenance of database management systems. Provide technical assistance to colleagues and help resolve problems reported by team members. Contribute to the preparation of user documentation, installation guides, and operating procedures. Participate in supporting delivered software and be part of a collaborative problem-solving team. Have opportunities to develop your skills and grow in a true DevOps agile environment.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in Oracle databases or a related technical area
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with Oracle Database Enterprise Edition 12c or 19c (multi-tenancy and partitioning) is desirable
- Awareness of DataGuard for Disaster Recovery and RAC for local resiliency
- Basic scripting skills in Python or Shell
- Foundational understanding of IT security in the DBA area
- Familiarity with TLS/SSL and Oracle Wallet concepts
- Experience with or knowledge of RHEL operating system is a plus
- Exposure to Confluence/Jira or similar project management tools
- Familiarity with Jenkins/CloudBees for CI/CD pipelines is a plus
- Understanding of Oracle Advanced Security, Transparent Data Encryption, and Database Vault concepts is a plus
