Oracle Database Administrator - TS//SCI w/ Polygraph

Job Summary

Support complex system architecture, design, and development by analyzing user requirements, creating system design documentation, and developing database structures that fit into the overall system architecture. Manage database engineering activities including data migration, replication, performance tuning, and issue resolution while conducting risk assessments and capacity planning. Collaborate with technical managers, integration engineers, and Agile team members to implement rigorous engineering practices, participate in Program Increment Planning, and translate requirements into usable database schemas through ad hoc queries and scripts.

Required Qualifications

  • A current Top-Secret/SCI government security clearance with polygraph
  • Ten (10) years of Database Administration or Engineering experience
  • A Bachelors degree in information systems or related discipline
  • An additional four (4) years may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • Experience as a Database Administrator to include proficiency in tasks such as data migration, data replication, user administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, issue investigation, issue resolution, and general administration
  • A good understanding of databases, primarily Oracle and/or other relational and non-relational/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB
  • Experience using Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and SQL in general
  • Experience scripting with JavaScript, Bash/Linux shell scripting (in general), Perl, and/or Python
  • Knowledge of programming languages to include Java
  • Commitment to adopting and adhering to best practices
  • Ability to effectively plan and prioritize tasking
  • Capability of performing high quality work both independently, and with a team, in a fast-moving environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline
  • At least 10 years of high-level, in-depth database experience
  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and/or as a member of an Agile team
  • Experience with Cassandra
  • Experience with MongoDB
