Job Summary
Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases while monitoring performance to optimize queries. Manage backup and recovery processes, enforce security measures, and troubleshoot issues to ensure data integrity. Create and maintain documentation, implement performance tuning strategies, and support replication and clustering. Apply SQL and PL/SQL knowledge to resolve database problems and recommend operational improvements. This TS/SCI Full Poly role in Chantilly, VA requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and full U.S. citizenship.
Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree
- Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Database Management, Systems Engineering
- 4-5 years experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree
- 4-5 years experience credit for a Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years experience credit for a Master's Degree
- Proficiency in Oracle database management tools
- Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL programming
- Experience with database performance tuning
- Familiarity with database backup and recovery techniques
- Understanding of data security practices
- Ability to manage database replication and clustering
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-based database solutions
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible)
- Knowledge of Oracle RAC and Data Guard
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell)
- Experience with database migrations and upgrades
