Job Summary
Oracle/PeopleSoft Database Administrator responsible for installing, configuring, patching, upgrading Oracle databases across AWS RDS, performing SQL tuning and PeopleSoft-aware diagnostics, ensuring availability and security, implementing robust backup strategies (RMAN, PITR, cross-region), enforcing auditing and encryption, troubleshooting performance and metadata issues, documenting processes and runbooks, and automating tasks with shell scripting, Python, SQL automation, Lambda, and Step Functions. Will support migrations/upgrades across environments (on-prem and cloud), participate in disaster recovery planning and HA architecture, and adapt to evolving security requirements while delivering accurate SQL audit artifacts.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- DoD Secret Level Security Clearance
- Bachelor�s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant experience
- Security+ CE Certification, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA with in-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture
- Strong expertise in performance tuning, capacity planning, and system optimization
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages such as Bash or Python
- Familiarity with AWS RDS, CloudWatch, and PeopleSoft monitoring integrations
Desired Qualifications
- Security+ CE Certification, or equivalent
