Job Summary
Oracle/PeopleSoft Database Administrator to install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle database software across AWS RDS environments; perform proactive performance monitoring, SQL tuning, and resource optimization with PeopleSoft specifics; ensure high availability and reliability via automated monitoring, CloudWatch/RDS metrics, and health checks; develop and implement robust backup strategies (RMAN, PITR, cross-region), enforce database security (encryption, auditing, compliance), troubleshoot slow queries and cross-tier bottlenecks, create and maintain documentation, and automate routine tasks using shell scripting, Python, SQL automation, Lambda workflows and Step Functions; support database migrations/upgrades (on-premises/cloud), PeopleTools upgrades, PUM lifecycle, environment refreshes; participate in disaster recovery planning and testing (High Availability, Multi-AZ, failover); adapt to changing requirements while maintaining accuracy in SQL audit reports and compliance artifacts; requires DoD security clearance, U.S. citizenship, a bachelor's degree, and Security+ CE or equivalent, with at least 5 years of Oracle DBA experience and familiarity with AWS RDS, CloudWatch, and PeopleSoft monitoring integrations.

- Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant experience
- Security+ CE Certification, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA with in-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture
