Job Summary
Oracle Database Administration Expert at Kyndryl who will design, deploy, and administer Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c) across development, test, and production environments. Responsibilities include performance tuning, capacity planning, implementing Oracle RAC/ASM/Data Guard/GoldenGate/Exadata or ExaCC, and developing backup, recovery, migration, and upgrade strategies for on-premises and cloud platforms. Administer and optimize AWS RDS/Aurora for Oracle; support cloud migration initiatives. Create automation scripts using Shell, Python, and PL/SQL; collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams; produce architecture documentation and operational procedures for large-scale Oracle environments. Optional support for PostgreSQL v12+ is considered. Strong emphasis on security, incident management, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in managing complex databases
- Expert in Oracle Database Administration & Architecture (11g/12c/19c)
- Performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning
- Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, Exadata/ExaCC
- AWS RDS/Aurora for Oracle; backup and migration strategies
- Scripting (Shell, Python, PL/SQL) for automation
- Solution design and implementation for large-scale Oracle environments
- Public/private cloud management, especially migration from on-prem to cloud
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field
- Oracle Certified Professional certification (19c) is an added advantage
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL (v12+) is an added advantage
