Job Summary
Oracle Cloud Platform Engineer (OCI) responsible for provisioning, configuring, and operating OCI resources, automating tasks, and supporting migration and modernization initiatives to OCI. Key responsibilities include building and managing OCI resources (Compute, Storage, VCN, Load Balancer, DBCS, Autonomous Database), implementing OCI networking components, developing IaC modules with Terraform/OCI Resource Manager, automating operations with Python/Bash/Ansible, supporting CI/CD via OCI DevOps and popular CI tools, monitoring using OCI Monitoring/Logging/APM and third-party tools, performing routine maintenance (patching, backups, certificate renewals, capacity checks, incident resolution), implementing cloud security controls (IAM, MFA, Vault/KMS, encryption, Bastion, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vulnerability Scanning), supporting migration to OCI, assisting application teams deploying workloads on OCI services (OKE, WebLogic, Oracle DB, Functions, API Gateway), and contributing to cost optimization, automation, and operational documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
- 3–6 years of hands-on cloud/platform engineering experience
- Minimum 2 years of OCI experience (or strong cloud experience with demonstrable OCI exposure)
- Experience supporting production environments, incident management, and change management
- At least one OCI Associate certification (OCI Foundations Associate, OCI Architect Associate, or OCI Operations Associate)
