OR Technician

Facilitate communication between physicians and caregivers while providing sterile instruments, equipment, drapes, and supplies for surgical procedures. Maintain a safe environment relative to sterile technique, aseptic practice, and equipment, and apply professional skills to perform technical functions. Provide life support, document patient records, and maintain confidentiality. Act as a patient advocate and approach distressed patients, families, and visitors in a calm, professional manner. Cooperate as a member of the operating room, department, and overall hospital team under the direction of a registered nurse, medical staff, and the Surgical Services Manager.
