Job Summary
Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring all instruments, drapes, and supplies remain free of microorganisms to prevent patient infection. Act as the surgeon's third hand by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures swiftly, while performing meticulous counts of all sponges, needles, and instruments before and after the operation. Sterilize the OR, gather specific surgical kits, set up advanced equipment like robotic or laparoscopic tools, assist with patient positioning, and clean and restock the room post-procedure. Requires National Certification as a Surgical Technologist, BLS, and legible handwriting. Shift is 7 AM to 3 PM with alternating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- National Certification as a Surgical Technologist
- Legible handwriting
- BLS

Desired Qualifications
- Preferred minimum of 1 year Operating Room related experience
- Preferred minimum of 1 year Neurology related experience NBSTSA
- Good communication skills (written, verbal and telephone)
