Job Summary
OR Tech travel assignment in Redding, CA for a 12-week assignment in a fast-paced perioperative/operating room setting. Responsibilities include preparing and organizing sterile supplies and instruments, maintaining the sterile field, and assisting the surgeon by anticipating needs and handing sterile instruments during procedures. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and ORT training or equivalent experience, with BLS certification and at least one year of OR Tech experience. Compensation range is $33.60-$43.20 per hour, paid weekly; 12-week assignment with full-time shifts. Located in Shasta County, CA; travel/assignment specifics provided by Premiere Healthcare Staffing.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience
- Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred)
- Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General, Plastics)
- Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty surgical areas (e.g., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro, etc.)
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire
- Minimum one (1) year OR Tech experience
