OR Tech, Part Time Variable

Prepare, set up, and assist on various surgical procedures while maintaining and monitoring sterility of the surgical field and equipment. Decontaminate, clean, assemble, and sterilize instruments as necessary, verifying equipment functions before each procedure. Collaborate with the circulating nurse to ensure accuracy of sponge, needle, and instrument counts and identification of surgical specimens. Communicate all necessary information to the Circulating Nurse and/or Operating Room Clinical Supervisor in a timely manner, demonstrating excellent customer service and the ability to prioritize responsibilities under pressure. Apply knowledge of aseptic technique and sterilization principles to provide high-quality perioperative patient care consistent with the hospital's mission and core values.
