OR Tech, Part Time Variable

Assist the surgical team by preparing, setting up, and supporting various procedures while maintaining sterility of the surgical field and equipment. Decontaminates, cleans, assembles, and sterilizes instruments as needed, and verifies equipment functions prior to procedures. Collaborate with the circulating nurse to ensure accuracy of sponge, needle, and instrument counts, and identify surgical specimens. Communicate necessary information to the Clinical Supervisor and prioritize responsibilities under pressure. Demonstrate knowledge of aseptic technique, infection control practices, and surgical instrument use to provide high-quality patient care consistent with the hospital's mission and core values.
