Job Summary
Act as a Certified Surgical Technician under the direction of a Registered Nurse, scrubbing for robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma. Deliver patient care before, during, and after surgery while making calls, communicating verbally and in writing, and multitasking independently. Requires a high school diploma, OR Technician training, two to three years of experience, BLS certification, and NBSTSA certification. Schedule includes 7:00 am to 3:00 pm day shifts with alternating weekends, holidays, and call coverage.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an OR Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Must have strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Must be able to make calls
- Must be flexible, able to multitask and be able to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician, required
- NBSTSA Certification, required
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required with American Heart Association
- 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Full Time
- Alternating Weekends, holidays and call coverage
