Job Summary
Collaborate with the perioperative registered nurse to organize and administer age-specific care to patients, maintain a safe environment, and monitor physiologic responses during surgery. Scrub across multiple service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma. Maintain current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification and Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) certification. Work night shifts in a full-time capacity at Jersey City Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an Surgical Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Must have strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Must be able to make calls
- Must be flexible
- Must be able to multitask
- Must be able to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA)
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required with American Heart Association
- Night Shift
- Full Time
