Job Summary
Scrub in for robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma service lines while acting under the direction of a Registered Nurse to deliver patient care before, during, and after surgery. Coordinate with surgeons and nursing staff to assume appropriate responsibility for surgical procedures. Maintain Certified Surgical Technician and NBSTSA certifications, along with current BLS Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association. Work a full-time day shift from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm with alternating weekends, holidays, and call coverage.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an OR Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Ability to make calls
- Flexibility
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician
- NBSTSA Certification
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association
- 7:00 am – 3:00 pm schedule
- Full Time employment
- Alternating Weekends, holidays and call coverage
