Job Summary
Collaborate with the perioperative registered nurse to organize and administer age-specific care to patients, maintain a safe environment, and ensure physiologic responses to surgery are as expected across the surgical suite and perioperative division. Scrub for robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma service lines while making calls and multitasking independently. Requires Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA), current BLS certification, and 2–3 years of experience. Night shift full-time position at RWJBarnabas Health, the leading academic health system in New Jersey, advancing innovative strategies in patient care, education, and research.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an Surgical Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Must have strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Must be able to make calls
- Must be flexible
- Must be able to multitask
- Must be able to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA)
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required with American Heart Association
- Night Shift
