Job Summary
Prepares and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for assigned surgical procedures while maintaining the sterile field throughout each case. Assists the surgeon by anticipating needs and handing sterile instruments and supplies during procedures in a fast-paced perioperative setting. Requires current BLS (AHA) certificate and minimum one year of OR Tech experience scrubbing minor and major procedures across generalized and specialty surgical specialties. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Graduate of an ORT training program
- On the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience
- Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties
- Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate
- Minimum one (1) year of OR Tech experience
