Job Summary
Prepare and organize sterile supplies and instruments for assigned surgical procedures, maintaining the sterile field throughout each case. Assist the surgeon by anticipating needs and handing sterile instruments and supplies during minor and major procedures in generalized, ortho, neuro, ENT, and uro specialties. Requires a high school diploma, current BLS certificate, and at least one year of OR Tech experience in a fast-paced perioperative setting. This 12-week travel assignment places you with award-winning hospital partners across the nation, supported by dedicated career specialists.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Graduate of an ORT training program
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a surgical setting
- Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties (GYN, General and Plastics)
- Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro)
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate
- Minimum one (1) year of OR Tech experience
Desired Qualifications
- Related experience for new hires effective April 2014
- Surgical setting preferred
