Job Summary
Prepares and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for assigned surgical procedures while maintaining the sterile field throughout each case. Assists the surgeon by anticipating needs and handing sterile instruments and supplies during procedures in a fast-paced perioperative setting. Requires one year of OR Tech experience, including scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized and specialty surgical areas, along with a current BLS certificate. This 12-week assignment places you with an award-winning hospital partner across the nation, supported by dedicated career specialists.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience
- Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties, (i.e., GYN, General and Plastics)
- Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro. Etc.)
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum one (1) year of OR Tech experience
