Job Summary
OR Surgical Technologist performs essential operating room support: prepares operating rooms, ensures sterile technique and asepsis, maintains and provides sterile instruments, and assists surgeons and nurses during various procedures. Works as part of the OR team to support safe, efficient patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. Requires compliance with NYS Surgical Technologist Certification Law, completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or credential, CPR within 3 months of hire, and an active NY LPN license if applicable. On-call responsibilities and a 40-hour week are included, with a sign-on incentive up to $15,000 for eligible candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Meets the NYS Surgical Technologist Certification Law
- Completed a Surgical Technologist program in the Armed Forces; OR Completed a nationally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist with a nationally accredited credential OR graduated an accredited school of Practical Nursing and has an active NY state LPN license
- CPR Certification within 3 months of hire
