Job Summary
Scrub in and support the surgical team across robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic, and trauma cases. Collaborate with surgeons and registered nurses to deliver patient care before, during, and after procedures while scrubbing, setting up instruments, and managing the sterile field. Maintain certification as a Certified Surgical Technician with NBSTSA and BLS Healthcare Provider credentials. Work the 11:00 am to 7:00 pm midshift with alternating weekends, holidays, and call coverage.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Surgical Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Ability to make calls
- Flexibility
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician
- NBSTSA Certification
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association
- Availability for 11:00 am – 7:00 pm shift
- Availability for alternating weekends
- Availability for holidays
- Availability for call coverage
