Job Summary
Scrub for robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Coordinate with surgeons and RNs to deliver patient care before, during, and after surgery. Maintain strong communication skills, make necessary calls, and independently multitask while rotating alternating weekends, holidays, and call coverage. Work full-time in the Operating Room at Jersey City Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Surgical Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Ability to make calls
- Flexibility
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician
- NBSTSA Certification
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association
- Availability for 11:00 am – 7:00 pm shift
- Availability for alternating weekends
- Availability for holidays
- Availability for call coverage
