OR Support Services Assistant - Collier - Full Time - Days

Job Summary
Prepare operating rooms by ensuring equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and in proper working order. Support room turnover through cleaning and restocking according to established protocols. Transport patients to and from the operating room and other perioperative areas as directed. Gather and deliver required equipment and supplies to the surgical team during procedures. Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and assist with general organization of surgical support areas. Follow all infection prevention, safety, and environmental protocols to maintain a clean and safe surgical environment. Communicate effectively with surgical, nursing, and support staff to ensure seamless procedural operations. Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain regular and reliable attendance and comply with all policies and standards.
Required Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in a surgical services or patient support role
- Understanding of basic surgical terminology and operating room protocols
- Ability to operate and inspect non-clinical equipment and identify issues
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and cleanliness
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of a team
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safety practices in a surgical setting
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in fast-paced environments
