Job Summary
Confirm all video and surgical equipment is fully functional and arrange monitors according to surgeon preferences during pre-operative setup. Verify proper connection of intra-operative equipment, address supply needs promptly, and collect instruments for cleaning and sterilization post-operatively. Maintain strict standards for decontamination, inspection, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization of surgical instruments while managing laparoscopic equipment maintenance and repairs. Keep surgeon preference cards current and accurate, and provide consistent, high-quality service to foster professional relationships with OR staff. Work any day Sunday–Saturday including 24/7 rotational coverage, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays, while adapting quickly to a fast-paced hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2–5 years of face-to-face customer service experience
- Strong communication skills with the ability to anticipate and respond quickly and accurately
- Availability for 24/7 hospital coverage, including rotational shifts on weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- COVID-19 vaccination
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST)
- Certified Surgical Technician
- CRCST obtained within 120 days of hire
- One year of OR and/or Sterile Processing Department (SPD) experience
