Job Summary
Coordinate patient care and organize workflow in the OR, including room set-up, turn-over, and supply/equipment management. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while working alongside preop staff, anesthesia providers, surgeons, and recovery staff. Assist in department operational support, new coworker orientation, and staff relief for breaks or lunches. Requires minimum one year OR RN experience, current Missouri RN license, and BLS certification. Additional call hours may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year OR RN experience
- Nursing Degree from an accredited school (BSN, Associate's Degree, or Diploma)
- Current RN license within the state of Missouri and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Other unit specific certifications including ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
