Job Summary
Prepare the surgical suite and equipment, start IVs and administer sedation, and monitor patients intraoperatively using vital signs. Circulate or scrub to assist surgeons, then manage postoperative recovery, discharge patients, and perform dressing changes and suture removal. Teach patients and families post-treatment home care needs while assessing physical and psychosocial status, interpreting diagnostic tests, and reviewing charts. Plan safe environments, manage inventory and sterilization, and maintain logbooks. Demonstrate flexibility in workload and hours as schedule demands.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of California
- Current ACLS and BLS certificates
- One year of current Preop/OR/Recovery nursing experience or similar
- One-year prior experience working in critical care, and/or administering IV sedation
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Must possess manual dexterity to operate office machines including computer and calculator
- Must possess mobility to complete errands or deliveries
- Must possess ability to handle sharps and chemicals
- Must be able to stoop and bending to handle files and supplies

- Prior medical clinic experience
- Prior Dermatology and/or cosmetic surgery experience
