Job Summary
OR/PACU RN (PRN) in Towson, MD with US Fertility’s Shady Grove Fertility network. Responsibilities include performing initial preoperative assessment, developing a plan of care, explaining subsequent surgery phases, providing comfort and psychological support to patients and families, caring for patients receiving various anesthesia or conscious sedation, administering medications via IV and other routes as directed, and providing patient education. Requires active RN license, current BLS and ACLS, and 2–3 years of OR/PACU experience; strong technical/clinical assessment skills and ability to work independently. Schedule varies; compensation $38–$45/hour plus full benefits for applicable employment types.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- 2 to 3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
- Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
